Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Magnetic SEO ("we") collects through magneticseo.dev and our products, why, and what you can do about it. The Magnetic SEO extension has its own disclosure on the Extension Privacy page.

The policies for Magnetic SEO and our other products now live on magneticseo.dev. They replace the product sections previously published on magneticwp.com.

Controller: Magnetic SEO. Contact: support@magneticseo.dev.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
  • Purchase data: orders, subscriptions and license keys linked to your account. Card details go to our payment provider and never reach us.
  • License data: when Pro is active in the extension, your license key, an anonymous browser ID and a browser label such as "Chrome on Windows".
  • YouTube estimate requests: when the extension's YouTube Stats shows revenue estimates or the SEO Score, it sends the public details of the YouTube video, Short or channel being viewed (such as its title, tags, description, category, view count and languages, and for the SEO Score the first 30 seconds of the public transcript), an anonymous browser ID, and your license key when Pro is active. We calculate the estimate or score and send it back; the details are not stored. The Extension Privacy page lists exactly what is sent.
  • Free trial data: to give each person one free trial, we keep a one-way scrambled code of your email address when your account starts a trial. "+tags" and dots in Gmail addresses are ignored, so name+1@gmail.com counts as name@gmail.com. We also keep a scrambled code of the internet connection the account was created from (your IP address, or the first half of an IPv6 address) for 30 days, to limit how many trials one network can start. Your IP address itself isn't stored for this.
  • Support data: messages you send us through the contact form, support tickets or email.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser details in server logs, kept for security and abuse prevention.

Why we use it

  • To create and secure your account (contract).
  • To process orders and issue and check licenses (contract).
  • To calculate the YouTube revenue estimates and SEO Score you ask the extension for (contract).
  • To answer your messages (legitimate interest).
  • To keep the site secure and limit abuse, such as rate limiting sign-in requests (legitimate interest).
  • To stop the same person from starting repeated free trials (legitimate interest).
  • To send service emails: sign-in links, receipts, license and trial notices (contract).

We don't sell personal data, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

How long we keep it

Account data stays while your account exists. Order records are kept as long as tax law requires. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, then deleted. YouTube estimate and SEO Score requests aren't stored: we keep only short-lived counters per browser ID and network for rate limiting, reset within an hour, and finished estimates and scores in server memory for up to six hours so repeat views are quick. The scrambled network code for free trials is deleted after 30 days. The scrambled email code is kept even after an account is deleted, so a deleted account can't be used to start another trial; it's a one-way code, not your email address.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email support@magneticseo.dev. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

We'll update this page when the policy changes and change the date at the top.
