How the SEO score works
1 min read · Updated
The Summary tab scores a page from 0 to 100 using nine checks:
- Title
- Meta description
- Indexability
- Canonical
- H1 count
- Image alt text
- robots.txt
- Sitemap
- Google-supported schema
Each check shows what it found, such as "1 found" for H1 count or "0 missing" for image alt text.
Pixel widths
Google cuts titles and descriptions by pixel width, not by character count. The meters under the Google preview show how much of the available width your title and description use.
